Improving Your Powder Induction Process

A customer recently asked us to stop in and offer recommendations to improve their powder induction process.

Using an old but common eductor-based system, they were experiencing slow and inconsistent powder induction rates, lumps and fisheyes in the product, clogged eductor nozzle, clogged hopper outlet, and operator safety issues from adding powders to a hopper 60″ off the floor. The system also had to be manually dissembled and cleaned.

When the customer saw how well our Fastfeed inducted, wet out, and dispersed their protein, gums, and stabilizers in a single pass without using a problematic eductor, the ROI was easily recognized.

They are now making consistent, smoother product in half the time. Safety concerns are eliminated as powders are added to the Fastfeed hopper that is 37″ off floor. Fastfeed can also be cleaned in place with no disassembly.

If these issues affect your batches and you want to learn more, check out the Fastfeed system in action.
