Job Summary
This is a customer-facing, ‘front line’ position responsible for providing customized solutions, quotations, customer service, and technical assistance to end users, sales channel partners, and the outside sales team. The position reports to the Director of Sales Operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Field end user phone calls and e-mails, and convey our position as technical experts and our desire to develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
- Proactively interface with end users, sales channel partners, and Outside Sales Managers to gather process data and information needed to generate process-warrantied equipment quotations.
- Utilize available sizing tools, technical information, and process experience to size equipment and assemble detailed quotations to present to end users, sales channel partners, and Outside Sales Managers. If needed, collaborate with the engineering and production teams for assistance.
- Utilize our CRM system to enter new lead data, log end user communications and documentation, and track end user information.
- Assist our Outside Sales Managers with closing sales, and provide complete back-up support when they are traveling or on vacation.
- Interface with end users and sales channel partners to ensure that proposals are understood and follow-ups are properly executed.
- Work with our Lab Manager to gather sufficient process data and prepare requests for lab testing of end user material/ingredient as needed to support the sales effort.
- Understand how our business system works, and have the ability to enter new equipment orders within the system while maintaining communication with end users throughout the order process.
- Work with our engineering, manufacturing and production teams as needed to ensure that customer orders are completely understood and handled appropriately.
- Assist the customer service team when needed with any customer issues related to process.

- Top-notch sense of urgency to handle requests and opportunities in an efficient manner.
- Basic computer skills needed (Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, data entry, database use, etc.).
- Understanding of basic sales principles and techniques.
Credentials and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering or Business is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a sales or customer service environment is preferred.
- Understanding of fluid process is preferred.
Special Requirements
- This position is primarily ‘inside sales’, and as such will not have significant yearly travel associated with it. However, there is a possibility that this position may be asked to attend a trade show or accompany a Regional Sales Manager on sales calls or equipment start-ups in order to build a greater appreciation for our customer base and the applications surrounding our equipment.
Training and Development
- Due to the detail and breadth of our product offering, the training period is expected to be at least 4 – 6 weeks. It is extremely critical that this candidate gains a thorough understanding of our equipment and can articulate where and how to apply it. It is also important that the manufacturing processes that surround our equipment are understood.
